Gibraltar’s G-1400 Series bollards have been crash-tested and certified to ASTM F2656-15 M40 P1 test specifications as a single bollard. For these purposes, our G-1441 bollards can halt a 15,000 pound vehicle traveling at speeds of up to 40 mph without allowing penetration past one meter. These unique units are patent pending for our innovations in bollard strength and efficiency in installation.
Fixed Ultra-Shallow Security Bollards
The G-1441 Ultra-Shallow Bollard is a patent-pending security bollard that has been fully tested and crash certified as a single bollard. This primary bollard has been certified by an independent third-party crash test laboratory to ASTM F2656-15 M40 P1 levels
These ultra-shallow bollards require foundation depths of just 5 inches, as compared to the 12 inches required by our other shallow options – making the G-1441 ideal for applications with shallow concrete like parking decks and bridges or areas with existing underground utilities. In addition, the bollard requires just 78 inches from the front to the back of the foundation. As a result, the bollard and poured foundation assembly can replace a standard sidewalk.
Efficient Installation
With only a minimum 5-inch foundation depth and zero requirement for reinforcing metal rebar, the G-1441 requires significantly less material and labor than other shallow mount options. As a result, the cost and man-hours required for installation is diminished as well, saving you time and money in the process. Further, if you’re installing in an area with pre-existing utilities under the sidewalk or concrete pad, there’s no need to reroute, resulting in additional cost savings.
All G-1000 Series bollards have either been fully crash-tested and impact certified by an independent third-party crash test laboratory or engineer extrapolated to meet ASTM F2656 requirements. As a result, Gibraltar’s G-1000 Series provides superior perimeter protection against vehicle rams while allowing controlled vehicle and pedestrian access. Our G-1000 series is available in several standard mount, shallow mount and ultra-shallow mount options, as well as in fixed, removable, and deployable configurations to allow installation for a variety of applications.
In addition, all G-1000 Series bollards are completely customizable. Choose from shop coat, powder-coat, or hot-dipped galvanized; additional powder-coat colors and paint colors can be added upon special request.
